The Hegemon turns your group's season into a Premier League prediction league, a private contest between people who already argue about it. Everyone in your group predicts the score of every fixture before kickoff, the results arrive automatically, and the standings sort themselves out. Nobody keeps a spreadsheet, nobody chases anyone for entries, nobody has to referee a dispute about who said what.
It works for an office of forty, a five-a-side side, or a family group chat that has been arguing since 1997. Everyone plays the same season, sees the same table, and gets the same weekly reckoning.
The season in numbers
Every matchweek carries 10 fixtures, and every one of them is scored. The fixture list loads straight from the official calendar, so nobody in your group has to type a single date.
Why the Premier League suits a prediction league best
No league punishes confidence quite like this one. A newly promoted side wins at Old Trafford, a title contender draws at home to nobody in particular, and the group table swings on a Sunday afternoon. Because every fixture is scored, the mid-table games matter as much as the ones on television, which is exactly where most groups win or lose their season.
The weekly Double
Each matchweek you nominate one match as your Double, and its points count twice. Getting the derby right is worth a lot. Getting it wrong in front of everyone is worth even more, to everyone else. Managers who play the Double on the safe 1-0 tend to finish second.
Season picks, sealed in August
Before the first kickoff you seal three long-range calls: the champion, the top four in any order, and the three clubs going down. They are worth serious points and they are locked for the season. Points are awarded only when an outcome is mathematically certain, so nobody collects in March for something still in doubt.
The Lounge and the ticker
Every group gets its own Lounge for the fallout, plus a ticker that reports what actually happened in your league that weekend. Manager of the Month runs alongside the main table, so a bad August does not end anyone's season.

Premier League questions
When does the Premier League season start?
The 2026-27 season opens on 21 August 2026. You can start a league at any point after that too: create one in November and your group simply begins from the next matchweek and plays for the rest of the season.
How many matchweeks are there?
Thirty-eight, with ten fixtures in each. Every fixture is scored, so a full season is 380 chances to be right and 380 chances to be told about it.
How does scoring work in a Premier League prediction league?
Six points for the exact score, four for the right goal difference, three for the right result, nothing otherwise. Your Double doubles one match each matchweek.
Is money involved?
No. The Hegemon is free for the 2026-27 season and we never hold or move money between players. This is a game of points and bragging rights, not betting.
